Founded in Ningbo in 1996, FOTILE began with rangehoods designed for the heavy fumes of Chinese cooking before expanding into cooktops, ovens and dishwashers. Company materials report sales in more than 35 countries and regions.
Its Australian business is supported by Aurora Trading Group, the exclusive importer and distributor since 2014. FOTILE states that its locally supplied appliances meet Australian safety requirements. Local customer support and published warranties, including two-year on-site repair coverage for rangehoods and cooktops, provide after-sales backing, subject to terms.
That foundation supports a retail and showroom network spanning 11 listed locations across five states. Victoria remains its operating base, with outlets in Box Hill and The Glen and a flagship experience centre exceeding 350 square metres in Mount Waverley. Sydney’s Eastwood Shopping Centre store opened in May, joining Burwood Plaza, Hurstville and Carlingford. Locations in Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia, alongside Costco distribution and builder collaborations, broaden its reach.
Its Australian range includes rangehoods, gas cooktops, electric ovens, steam and combination ovens, microwaves and integrated sink dishwashers. These address varied household needs, from extraction for stir-frying and searing to space-saving dishwashing in apartment kitchens.
Introduced in 2015, its award-winning sink dishwasher combines dishwashing and produce washing at sink height, allowing loading without bending. Industry reports citing Frost & Sullivan rank FOTILE first globally in sink dishwasher sales volume during 2022–2024.
Mordor Intelligence forecasts approximately 6.1% annual growth in Australia’s kitchen appliance market between 2026 and 2031, driven by replacement purchases, connected-home technology and electrification.
Building policies are also shaping demand for electric cooking: in Victoria, broader all-electric requirements for new homes and most new commercial buildings begin in January 2027, subject to exemptions and transitional provisions. Existing homes retain gas cooking options.
Competitors in the market also aim to address integrated design and quieter open-plan living: Bosch offers induction with built-in ventilation, Gaggenau places cooking modules beneath continuous worktops, and Schweigen uses external extraction motors.
FOTILE is promoting its anniversary offers throughout October on Chinese-language social media. Bringing the campaign to a more active English-language social media presence could help the brand reach a wider Australian audience while highlighting its product innovation and local service network.
