Yee3 Coconut makes its Australian debut with a flagship drink store in Sydney

Chinese coconut drink brand Yee3 Coconut, also known as Number 3 Coconut, has made its Australian debut, joining a growing market for coconut-based drinks and Asian-inspired beverage concepts.

Following its expansion into Hong Kong and Malaysia, Australia is now Yee3 Coconut’s third market outside mainland China, with its first Australian store opening in 2026 at Shop 6, 385 Pitt Street in Sydney.

Yee3 Coconut describes its concept as an “oasis in your cup”, with layered drinks designed to showcase ingredients and visual appeal. Signature offerings include Pistachio Cloud Coconut Water, Iced Coconut Mint Breeze and Cocoa Coconut Shaved Ice, bringing Shanghai-inspired flavour combinations to Australia’s increasingly competitive coconut drink market.

Founded in 2023 in Shanghai, Yee3 Coconut has grown to over 500 stores across mainland China by 2026. The company says more than four million cups of its signature drink have been sold, while its website outlines plans for future stores in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Its expansion strategy has focused on compact island kiosks and smaller-format stores, helping the brand build a consistent and accessible presence across high-traffic locations.

Yee3 Coconut is operated by Shanghai Langxing Dingsheng Brand Management Co., Ltd., which also incubates and operates other food and beverage concepts including Modao Matcha, Chunning Xiangxiang and Lubian Pipi.

The brand enters an already growing coconut drink market in Australia, where local chains such as Coconature, Miss Coconut and Just Coconut have helped establish dedicated coconut-based beverages. The successful integration of Asian flavours such as matcha, lychee, and yuzu into Australia’s milk tea and beverage market demonstrates a strong willingness for the local population to adopt new flavour profiles.

The latest development comes as the global consumption of coconut drinks worldwide surpassed 4.8 billion litres in 2023 (Market Growth Reports, 2026). The global coconut drink market is experiencing a massive boom, expected to grow from AUD 3.92 billion as of 2026 to AUD 7.12 billion by 2035, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.23%.

Particularly, 6W Research attributes trends in coconut drinks to rising consumer demand for higher nutritional benefits, dairy alternatives, and healthy ingredients. Yee3 Coconut aligns with its target demographic of young adults aged 18–30 years by appealing to these core values of health, innovation, and naturally sourced products.
