ALO Yoga inaugurated its first Australian store in Sydney on May 22, marking a significant step forward in the Los Angeles-based fitness brand's global expansion. The new flagship, located in Chatswood Chase, introduces Australian consumers to ALO's blend of premium athleisure, fitness and wellness-focused lifestyle offerings.
ALO (Air, Land, Ocean) was founded in Los Angeles in 2007 as a yoga apparel company before expanding into one of the world's fastest-growing health and athleisure brands. Celebrity endorsements and social media exposure helped the company gain widespread recognition, with Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber being commonly connected with the brand. Over time, ALO grew from yoga gear to a lifestyle label focused on fitness, mindfulness, and premium casual design.

The Chatswood Chase site is roughly 315 square metres and was created around ALO's "sanctuary" retail concept. Rather than acting as a traditional apparel store, the facility mixes minimalist decor, greenery, soft lighting and wellness-inspired design features to offer a calm and engaging shopping experience.
The company distinguishes itself by emphasizing health culture and digital lifestyle branding, such as its workout subscription platform, Alo Moves. The Sydney store is intended to be the first of several in Australia.
ALO has already indicated plans for additional expansion, including a huge flagship store at Westfield Bondi Junction that will open in the near future. Its Australian debut reflects a broader trend among global lifestyle brands to combine retail, digital content and community engagement as part of their growth strategies.
