Sydney, 12 September 2025 — Fine Food Australia has strengthened its reputation as the country’s leading trade event for the foodservice and hospitality industry, and is increasingly attracting overseas brands eager to tap into Australia’s growing appetite for global flavours.
With more than 900 exhibitors across 12 categories, the annual expo has become a magnet for international companies seeking local distributors and export partners, with strong participation from Asia and the Pacific. Among the notable participants is Synear Foods, one of China’s largest frozen food manufacturers.
Specialising in dumplings, steamed buns, wontons, and tangyuan, Synear has expanded into Australia with a Sydney factory and is now seeking to grow its distribution beyond Asian grocery stores. The company is using the expo to connect with local distributors and food retailers, showcasing its authentic Chinese dumplings and xiaolongbao made with local ingredients.

Also targeting the Australian market is Amos Foods, a Chinese confectionery giant founded in 2004 and ranked among the Global Top 100 Candy Companies. As China’s top confectionery exporter, Amos has already secured shelf space in petrol stations and supermarket chains such as IGA. The company is leveraging trade events to expand its reach, introducing a broad candy portfolio to more Australian buyers.
The expo also highlights Pacific Island producers, with Pacific Trade Invest bringing a range of products from the region. Many are seeking importers and local distributors to help them enter the competitive Australian food market.
While strict biosecurity and customs regulations remain barriers for some perishable and packaged imports, Australia’s appetite for international flavours continues to draw overseas food manufacturers. For many, Fine Food Australia offers the vital platform to find the right partners to bring their products from factory floors abroad to dinner tables across the country.
