Hong Kong Jewellery brand 3DG Opens First Australian Store in Sydney; Chatswood Location to Follow.

Hong Kong fine jewellery brand 3DG Jewellery (金至尊珠宝) has officially entered the Australian market, opening its flagship boutique at Sydney Central Plaza on George Street with a second location confirmed for Westfield Chatswood.

Filings submitted by 3DG Holdings to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange confirm that its Australian subsidiary secured a five-year lease for the George Street store, laying the foundation for long-term expansion in Oceania.

The strategy is backed by parent company Luk Fook Holdings, which acquired a controlling stake in 3DG Holdings in January 2024. According to The Australian Financial Review, Luk Fook currently operates eight stores across Australia and plans to open five more over the next 12 months, positioning Australia as its primary overseas growth market.

Founded in Hong Kong in 2003, 3DG specialises in gold, platinum, and gem-set jewellery tailored to younger buyers through its "Young at Heart" positioning and "Stylish Femme" retail concept. Luk Fook’s annual reporting shows 3DG operates over 265 stores across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

3DG will double its Sydney retail presence later this year. Additional exchange filings confirm a second five-year lease agreement was signed in June 2026 for Level 4 at Westfield Chatswood, where Westfield has now publicly listed 3DG as an upcoming retailer near Glassons.

The multi-year leases in Sydney's CBD and Chatswood reflect 3DG’s strategy of combining high-profile city center visibility with key suburban retail hubs.

3DG’s arrival follows a broader push by major Asian jewellers into the Australian market, reported by Launch Story, including Chow Tai Fook, which launched its Australian store at Westfield Sydney in March 2026, and India's Malabar Gold, which has expanded from Melbourne to Sydney in 2024.
